What is Roulette?
Although one of the oldest gambling games, Roulette is also one of the most popular games played in modern casinos and fixed odds betting terminals throughout UK betting shops. Roulette bets are placed by putting chips of a particular monetary value, on a table decorated with a pattern of boxes and numbers. These different boxes and numbers represent the different bets that can be placed. A wheel is set spinning when the bets are placed and a ball is spun onto the wheel with a motion that opposes the wheel's rotation.The ball rapidly loses speed and after bouncing from the metal rungs of the wheel, comes to rest in a pocket of a particular number. The number of the pocket is the winning number.
Placing bets
Select your chip value using the chip selector on the table, just above the bet area. Then simply select the area of the table on which you wish to place a bet. The chips will stack up as you add more chips to the same bet, thus increasing the stake. When you have placed your bets, press "SPIN" to spin the wheel.
The bets
There are several types of bets that can be placed on the Roulette table:
THE SINGLE NUMBER BET (Pays 36.00)
This is a bet on any single number and odds of 36.00(35-1) are paid on a winning number.
THE COLUMN BET (Pays 3.00)
This bet is placed on any of the three columns of twelve numbers running horizontally across the table. The odds are 3.00(2-1) for a winning bet. If 0 comes up, any column bets lose.
THE DOZEN BET (Pays 3.00)
This bet is placed on the outside boxes marked 1st, 2nd and 3rd 12. Players can bet on numbers 1 to 12, numbers 13 to 24 and/or numbers 25 to 36. The odds are 3.00(2-1) for a winning bet. If 0 comes up, any dozen bets lose.
BLACK OR RED BET (Pays 2.00)
This bet is placed on either a black or red number coming up. The odds here are 2.00(evens). If 0 comes up, any black or red bets lose.
ODD OR EVEN BET (Pays 2.00)
This bet is placed on either an odd or even number coming up. The odds here are 2.00(evens). Again, if 0 comes up, any odd and evens bets lose.
HIGH OR LOW NUMBER BET (Pays 2.00)
This bet is placed on the Low box (1 to 18) or the High box (19 to 36). The odds are 2.00(evens) for the winning bet. If 0 comes up, any high or low bets lose.
THE SPLIT OR TWO NUMBER BET (Pays 18.00)
This bet is placed on any line that divides any two adjacent numbers. The bet is that either of those two numbers will come up. The odds are 18.00(17-1) for a winning bet.
THE STREET OR ROW BET (Pays 12.00)
This bet is placed on the three numbers in a row on the table by placing the chosen chip(s) on the outside of that row. The bet is that one of the three numbers will come up. The odds are 12.00(11-1) for a winning bet.
THE CORNER OR SQUARE BET (Pays 9.00)
The bet is placed on the intersection of four numbers. The bet is that one of these four numbers will come up. The odds are 9.00(8-1) for a winning bet.
THE DOUBLE STREET OR SIX NUMBER BET (Pays 6.00)
This bet is placed on the outside of the line that splits two rows of numbers. This will cover all six numbers. The bet is that one of the six numbers will come up. The odds here are 6.00(5-1) for a winning bet.
Undo / Redo / Clear / Repeat
If you want to undo your most recent action, press the "UNDO" button. If you want to redo your most recent action, press the "REDO" button. If you want to clear the board of all your chips and place your bets again, press the "CLEAR" button and all your chips will be removed from the table and returned to your account. Repeat your previous bet(s) by pressing the "REPEAT" button, and the game will set up your chips to match your previous bet. Please note that all winning stakes will stay on the table.
Previous draws
You can see the results of previous draws in the top right corner of the game window. The Dolly will be placed on the winning number on the Roulette table.
